A Very Special Surprise!

Year 1 and Year 2 received an incredibly special letter… from none other than Sir David Attenborough himself!

Earlier this term, the children made and sent heartfelt birthday cards to Sir David to celebrate his remarkable 99th birthday. To our delight, he took the time to send a personal thank-you letter back to us!

After learning about Sir David Attenborough this term, the children were overjoyed to know that their messages reached someone who has inspired so many with his love for nature and the planet. What a memorable moment — one we’ll treasure forever!

A Visit From Foxy Fox!

We also had another special visitor to school in the form of Foxy from Stanwix Park. They popped into school to deliver a donation for our playground refurbishment and to say hello to some children too!

A Visit From Hugo!

We had a surprise visit from Hugo and Sally-Ann from Hospice at Home! They came to share the news that our Bunny - Hop has raised over £2,000 for the charity! Money is still being counted too! This is a phenomenal amount and I’d like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to the children, families and friends who made it possible for us to raise this amazing amount of money! 🌻 Well done Team Silloth! 🌻

Mental Health Awareness Week 2025 - Community

12th May - 16th May

This week in our Collective Worship time, we have been exploring the importance of community and helping looking after each other’s mental health. Reception performed a song to make us all smile and Year 5 shared some ways in which we can help someone if they are feeling down.
