Music Curriculum

“Where words fail, music speaks.”

Hans Christian Andersen

Music is a big part of our school.

Whilst the schemes below show the formal 'taught' elements of our music curriculum intent, we also enjoy singing at our annual Harvest Festival Service, Christmas Concerts, Carol Services and Summer Concerts.

We have taken part in Cumbria Music Hub events such as Mini-Sing and Big-Sing and enhance our formal provision with music workshops from Music Makers (EYFS & KS1) & Soundwave (KS2).

Our brass players have played in Christ Church for our parents/carers at the Christmas Carol Service and we're hoping that some day, they will lead Silloth Carnival around the town or perform on Silloth Green for the whole community!

Our brass programme continues at Solway Secondary School, so the children enjoy three years of FREE brass tuition.
