Bikeability 2025 - Well done Year 5!
A huge congratulations to some of our Year 5 children who successfully achieved Level 2 in Bikeability this term! The instructors were full of praise for the children’s dedication, positive attitude, and excellent behaviour throughout the sessions. We are so proud of the way they represented our school and the important cycling skills they have gained to help keep them safe on the roads.
Faldo Futures Winner (April 2025)

Over the Easter, Leo has been a busy lad competing in various golf competitions. One of these was the Faldo (nick Faldo) futures qualifier event down at Carus green in Kendal.
After a rocky start, sending his first tee off straight into the bunker on the 1st, Leo pulled it together and ended up with par after par on his score sheet! It was incredible to watch. After 6 pars on his score sheet and shooting 1 over on the 8th and the 18th, Leo ended up with a +3 at the end of his 9-hole round.
Coming down the 18th with the club house in front of him, nerves in his belly and heart racing with everyone watching. He ended up playing a great last hole and the crowd cheering him on.
Nervously waiting for the presentation result, Leo's name was called out at the under 9's Faldo Future Winner. He was absolutely buzzing! He also scored the second lowest score out of every age division that day.
He has now qualified to play at the regional finals back at Carus green on Wednesday 28th May, where if he qualifies, will get the chance to play at the national finals at the Belfry golf club the week of the masters (hope to see the pros there too!) All fingers and toes crossed for him.
